How This Comparison Works
Same contributions and dates
Each portfolio receives the same starting amount and recurring deposits. All portfolios use the first common available price date and the same effective end date. Actual calculation dates are displayed with your results.
Allocations and fixed holdings
Each portfolio divides the starting amount and every deposit using its own weights. Each recurring deposit uses the same target weights. Existing holdings are not rebalanced. Fees and taxes are excluded.
Prices, returns and risk
Stocks and ETFs use adjusted closes and carry forward on weekends and U.S. exchange holidays. Crypto requires daily closes. Total Return is gain divided by total invested. XIRR accounts for the dates of every contribution. Savings receives the same dated deposits.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can portfolios contain the same asset?
Yes. You can compare different weights of the same investments. An asset can appear once within each portfolio.
How does this differ from Advanced DCA Compare?
DCA Portfolio Compare splits each deposit across the investments in a portfolio. Advanced DCA Compare invests the full recurring amount in each individual investment.
What does Save Analysis keep?
All portfolio names, assets, allocations, the starting and recurring investments, frequency, savings rate, dates, and latest or fixed end-date behavior are kept in My Library.
